Coordinators, Volunteer Engagement (2) at Chicago Cares
The Coordinator, Volunteer Engagement will be responsible for the development, management and leadership of innovative, on-going volunteer service programs as well as large-scale one-day volunteer events that meet the needs of Chicago Cares, as well as those of our community, corporate and volunteer partners. The Volunteer Engagement team is responsible for the development and execution of all on-going and one-day volunteer service events as well as our large annual service events. The team coordinates all components of these volunteer programs, which vary in size from 10 to 1000+ volunteers, from project development and leadership management to supply allocation and delivery to transportation and catering logistics.

This role will also, in conjunction with the CFO, be responsible for budgeting and financial planning and analysis.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in public accounting and/or financial management at large not-for-profit organizations; corporate experience is a plus. The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting and excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
